Where any team member is below the age of majority in his or her province, the declaration and release form must be completed by both that contestant and their parent or legal guardian. Please designate one of your team members as the "team representative." This member of the team will be the contact for only the duration of the contest.

The data you use in your infographic submission must have been published by Statistics Canada and cited appropriately.Students and postsecondary institutions are encouraged to do their own complementary promotion including on-campus advertising and online promotion. This may include text and photos on its website and social media platforms. Statistics Canada will promote the Infographic Challenge.All correspondence, including sign-up and distribution of material, will be done by email with the Infographic Challenge Team.Multiple teams from the same postsecondary institution may participate. Team members may be from different postsecondary institutions and/or programs. Teams can have a maximum of three participants. Statistics Canada is inviting all postsecondary students from the National Capital Region to create an original infographic featuring data produced by the agency. The winner of the Chief Statistician of Canada Infographic Award will then be selected based on the results of the public vote and the judges' decision. Presentation to judges at Statistics Canada February 28, 2017įinalists will present their infographic to a panel of expert judges at Statistics Canada headquarters in Ottawa. Publication of finalists' infographics February 20, 2017, to February 27, 2017įinalists' infographics will be published on Statistics Canada's website and social media. Announcement of finalists January 31, 2017įive finalists will be contacted and invited to present their infographic to a panel of judges at Statistics Canada headquarters in Ottawa on February 28, 2017. Then the finalists' infographics can be published on Statistics Canada's website and social media page.

You must keep a working copy and the software you used to create your infographic since we will need to translate the text held in your infographics to meet the requirements of the Official Languages Act. The final day that registered participants can submit their infographic in PDF format is Januat 11:59 ET.
